Professional Experience

Began professional career at the General Directorate of Disaster Affairs within the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement, working on site selection and planning of disaster-affected settlements, as well as zoning planning and disaster management studies at the Ankara and Istanbul provincial directorates.

Worked as an urban planner at the municipalities of Fatih and Şişli, actively contributing to planning and project management processes in established urban areas.

Between 1996 and 2010, held executive positions within the Chamber of City Planners in Ankara, Istanbul, and the central organization, serving as President from 2005 to 2010.

Between 2005 and 2014, lectured at Yıldız Technical University, Department of City and Regional Planning, delivering courses on Professional Ethics in Urban Planning and Technology Production and Cities.

Currently provides consultancy services—primarily based in Istanbul—to local governments, domestic and international private sector organizations, law firms, and expert institutions on urban planning, disaster management and urban transformation, conservation, zoning, and real estate legislation. Continues to conduct seminars and publish professional works in these fields.
